Transforming St. Eugene Resort's Digital Presence

A brand new website. Fresh content and stunning imagery.

01 — Project details

In 2022, I spearheaded the redevelopment of St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino’s website, a seven-month project designed to modernize the online experience and drive tangible business growth. Collaborating with VentureWeb Design and renowned photographer Shawn Talbot, our team overhauled every piece of content and conducted a comprehensive four-day photo shoot to capture the resort's essence. The new website officially launched in May 2022.

02 — Creative process

The project began with in-depth research to understand our audience’s needs and behaviours. We analyzed user engagement metrics from the old website and identified key areas for improvement, including navigation, visual appeal, and content relevance.

Guiding a team of five developers and designers, we focused on creating a visually striking and user-friendly site that showcased the resort’s unique story and offerings. VentureWeb Design's partnership ensured a seamless blend of creativity and technical expertise, while Shawn Talbot’s photography brought the resort’s beauty to life, enhancing visual storytelling across the site.

Key steps included:

  • Conducting a comprehensive content audit and rewriting all website copy to align with the resort’s refreshed brand identity.

  • Plan and execute a 4-day on-site photo shoot to capture stunning images of the resort’s amenities, activities, and breathtaking surroundings.

  • Implementing intuitive navigation and enhanced mobile responsiveness to ensure a seamless user experience.

  • Integrating tools to improve conversion rates, including clear calls-to-action and streamlined booking processes.

03 — Results

The new website delivered significant and measurable results:

  • 44% Increase in Customer Engagement: Visitors are spending more time exploring the site, with session durations rising from an average of 1 minute to nearly 4 minutes.

  • Revenue Growth: The revamped user experience contributed to a 9% year-over-year revenue increase, demonstrating improved conversions and customer satisfaction.

  • Enhanced User Navigation: The longer session durations and increased page views indicate that users find the content more engaging and the site easier to navigate.
